JJ tour the second half

We're going into our third weekend, of touring with Jupiter Jones, tomorrow!!!
Getting picked up at 4.15 tomorrow, the latest so far haha, but still quite early.
Am still buzzing about the IMA win and I'm sure it's gonna play into the next couple gigs. The boys will be on a high :)
Saarbruecken and Koblenz, can't wait to see you and meet your beautiful people.
More later x

Remember my post about My Glorious being nominated for an IMA (Independent Music Award).
Well guess what:
THEY WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am soooooooooo proud and jumping around the room! Well deserved friends!!
The Vox Pop Jukebox is still running, so head over here and vote for them. What a start for a Wednesday morning. I'm sure this weekend we'll be celebrating :)

coffee to help

how funny are their salt and pepper shakers :)
After the gig in Bochum we stayed with Nina & Michael. Two great people who even demolished one of their guitars to get a part that broke on Sami's the night before, just so we didn't have to drive to the shops!! Plus they were the first people to host a coffee to help.
My Glorious wanted to do something for Japan - with the horrible earthquake and aftermath of tsunami and nuclear crisis, there's more than one need in that nation right now - and stumbled upon this project.
It's a really simple idea, you host some friends, family, colleagues, neighbours for coffee and raise money for a good cause. What's easier than getting everyone together, have coffee and chat and at the end put some money in a box? At the moment I'd love to give a big donation but I can't. What I can do is give a tiny donation, but if everyone gave a couple bucks it adds up and will make all the difference in someone else's life!
Before we took off to Bremen, the boys ended up playing an acoustic set.
As easy as pie to be a world changer :)

Bochum & Bremen

The two B cities we constantly swopped names for. Sami had to put a sign on his monitor in Bremen so he wouldn't say "good evening Bochum" haha
This second weekend of the Finnisch Line Tour was amazing. Last weekend was more like a holiday and catching up with friends and gigs to start and finish it all, but this weekend was proper tour life.
Lots of driving and playing and hanging with Jupiter Jones and our hosts.
Have to shout some praise for the four boys I'm traveling with. They don't smell or snore haha and are generally some of the best guys you'll find around. Love them and can't wait for the next two weekends! More later x

layering and colours

Have you guys seen Garance Dore's Taylor blog post?
That girl knows how to dress. I am in love with the lace skirt and her outfit in the last photo!!!

life on tour - Osnabrueck

Yesterday we sat in a car for too many hours!! The streets of Czech Republic are horrible. I'll tell you one thing: just find some place to pee before you enter their motorway or you feel like people tap dancing on your bladder. A very bumpy road! Contrary to last weekends Daft Punk the song of the weekend so far is Sarah Connor's "From Sarah With Love" - someone kill me now!! Why is it always the really bad songs that get stuck in your head??
Feel like skipping in the morning sun though, it's been crazy and lots of fun.
Meeting really nice people everywhere who love the music and share their apartments with us, so we have a place to crash. Eva hosted us last night and it was a cosy night haha. 5 people crammed into a room and she made us coffee in the morning and peppermint tea for me. Thanks again new friend.

My Glorious in Germany - weekend 1

What a great tour start they had... Jupiter Jones are some of the nicest guys I've met so far and we're glad to be on this journey with them :)
It was great to catch up with our friend Harry in Hamburg and to hang with Nela and Matt in Berlin.
Hamburg, was rainy and freakishly cold after spring finally sprung in Austria.
The venue was packed and the crowd great.
Berlin proved to be killer!!! Can't recommend that crowd highly enough and I'm sure we'll be back!

loving the shadows on the ground!!
I think I have to come back!!!

beard beanies

Remember my post a couple months ago?
Finally I got around to knitting or well attempting to knit a beard. No beanie yet and it looks ridiculous!!!
Here's the photo I sent him
and this is my brother wearing it...

vintage finds

The girls and I got stuck  at a flea market in Loerrach last weekend. Everyone went for coffee and we went on a treasure hunt haha
Here's what I got:
a casserole pot - finally I have a pan to put in the oven, sucky plastic handles good bye!!
a couple weights for sewing or rather cutting purposes
2 pairs of knitting needles
yarn
2 sets of stitching circles - not that I attempt to cross stitch or anything, but always hard to find perfect circles :)

special birthdays - take two or take 3 0

What could I say to best describe this weekend... There are no words for it.
It was crazy, hilarious, border lining the ridiculous at times and altogether the best time in a while.
This weekend included everything from laughing until you hurt(thank you Simon) to lactose intolerant people(JD and myself) in complete agony from eating the wrong things, from an iron board dance at 3am to the stinkiest farts, 12+ hours in a van, being in God's house, reconnecting with friends, eating some seriously delicious food, etc
Oh dear, I've been laughing all day long just thinking of the rubbish we talked and how good it is to have friends like these :)
Simon, you are one of the funnest guys ever, life is never dull with you around. Happy birthday, hope to celebrate the next 30 years haha
