the boat that rocked

Not talking about the movie here, (although it's so funny I had tears rolling down my cheeks) talking about the release party we had. It all happened in the basement of a boat that's anchored on the canal that runs through Vienna - a night to remember!
Linda Harrison did a phenomenal job opening the night, please check her out, she is such a talented young lady. It was a pleasure having her and Alex over here. It was her first gig outside of the UK and I'm sure there will be many more to come!
Everybody was very excited to see My Glorious. The hardly ever play in their hometown and it was fun to see how many friends, colleagues, musicians, fans and family made their way to the party.
Apart from seeing an amazing show, my favourite part was to catch up with lots of old friends. Some of them I haven't seen for nearly five years. My friend Philip was joking around that it's like going to a class reunion - we should all introduce ourselves again and say where we live and what we do :)
Amazing night with lots of fun people and great music. Thanks guys, I'm proud of you!!!

time with friends

Last week I got to go and stay with Reini and Johanna who've just moved to a tiny village in the south of Austria for the next couple months. It was the best time ever: long conversations with Johanna, lots of sleep, a trip to every furniture store in Klagenfurt, decorating their new lounge, quiet moments, laughing hard, walks in the snow.
I could've stayed for a couple more days, but before I left the next visitors had already arrived - even more fun in the snow with 3 crazy kids. The youngest was chasing after the 8 cats that live there, so he could pet them - too cute.

On my way back, I stopped in Graz to hang out with my friend Chris. More late night talks and as his friend celebrated her birthday, lots of new people to meet.
Thank you friends for being amazing and funny and so welcoming. I do have the privilege to know the best people on this planet, people I look up to and can learn a whole lot from.

This whole time away was meant as a breather, to reflect on the last year and look ahead what this year will bring. Spend lots of time with God and mostly listen to what He has to say. Funny thing is, God always turns up in the most random of places and I had the best time with Him driving back home. He is wonderful and I know that in His hand, 2010 will be the best year yet!

fun at work

It's a mere 16 days till "home is where the heart breaks" will be released throughout Europe.
The boys have been busy rehearsing and we all have tried to do our best with press stuff and organising the release party. Yesterday we checked out the location for said shindig, it's the basement of a ship(!!) and looks kinda run down but who wants nice shiny clubs for rock gigs right!
So today the famous Tommy G, Gregor and I hit the streets to film some footage for clips that will be shown at the release show. All I can say is that I can't wait for next week. Nothing better than having a fun job!

coming up in less than a month

Is anybody else crazy excited?????

beloved snow my hopes were up

When we left our friends place Sunday night, it started to snow pretty heavy.

It was gorgeous so I decided to go for a walk. All the sliding around was amazing, but can somebody explain to me why you trip all the time but only ever fall on your butt when there is someone else around to watch you??? The mysteries of this world...

So after all the lovely snow, I woke up today and it was almost gone... Boo to you rain, you're like an uninvited guest! Come back in spring when it's nice and warm!
