bright nail polish
Working in theatre you wear black most of the time so it's fun to bring a bit of colour in every once in a while :) Right now I'm wearing a bright orange called 'wake up'.
Anyone else out there who loves when different colours have names instead of numbers?

Do you ever feel like you don't belong or that life is getting too much to take or that your thoughts are taking you places, you really shouldn't go?
It's been the weirdest week so far... ups and downs and everything in between. Everything culminating with me going for a walk and crying in the park. Why the park, you ask, because you're never by yourself when you're on tour! The surrounding houses must have thought a crazy lady is in their midst: massive sunnies and sobbing and shouting to God haha What a terrific sight that must have been. It felt great to get it all out though :)
I have an amazing life and I love what I do but sometimes it takes a few little things to make you question all your decisions and your place in life and where it is heading. Strange but never wrong to reflect on all these things.
Nothing like a New Girl episode to pick you up while everyone else sound checks and knowing that there are three days off in the very near future :) Okay rant over, happy weekend everyone x

soundtrack of my life... the last couple days

My knees been out for the last five days and it hurts! (Long story short - doctors verdict: knee is okay but strained - I'm too "delicate" to continue running. Broke my little heart and I'll have to go back to doing yoga)
This whole knee episode brought back random songs into my life. Do you ever think of a song or just a line of a song that suits your situation at that moment? For example, I've got really bad insomnia sometimes and the first thing that comes to my mind is "If I could sleep a little" (Sleep by the Dandy Warhols). Weird right!
The entire time my knees been hurting I've been humming "It hurts" by Angels & Airwaves(the song has nothing to do with bad knees haha). So when I made my way to the hospital The Prodigy's "Take me to the hospital" was playing in the back of my mind. Horrible song choice but it's there.
To top it all off when I took my bike to cycle home the song that got stuck was Mark Ronson's Bike Song "gonna ride my bike until I get home" Love it!
How on earth do we remember all these things? Is it just me or do other people have these kinda problems :)

revisiting Estelle's American Boy

I've been listening to this song quite a lot while driving lately. Love the b&w video - mostly because John Legend appears haha It will forever remind me of my first week in England.

Fun memories of Hannah and Sky up in Thrapston :) Lots of pub time and walking around gorgeous Northamptonshire.
Random side note: in my first week I went to a 25th wedding anniversary that included a full blown blues brothers tribute band, attended a random funeral and learned how to play cricket - the things I get myself into and will never be able to explain haha love my life!

unexpected increase

This blog has been getting some serious traffic over the last few weeks and I have no idea how that happened. I was always under the impression that I write this for my family and friends haha
