Graz

Apart from having two friends fight over who gets me, as if I was some child in a weird custody battle, my three days in Graz were fun :)
Birgit and I once painted my friends place in London when they redid their Victorian terrace, we're pros, NOT! But we had so much fun doing it that she'd asked me to come visit and help her paint her room.
She might kill me for showing our painting adventures to the world but it is way too funny not to haha
we ran out of white which should have turned this yellow into a paler shade, but as you can see it's quite sunny... some go on holiday she just needs to go to her room - I'm jealous!
so we mixed the blue that was left over from another project...
and tried to preserve as much of the yellow as we could... totally loving the result!!! pictures have gone up on those little steps
all said and done (might have to add that I broke her shower after painting - have you ever seen those TV ads where people crack the fire hydrant and water splashes everywhere? it was kinda like that and I'm still feeling bad about it) we went and had dinner and a lot of wine,
chatted for hours and annoyed Chris who was trying to get school stuff done
multi tasking, busy bee :)
Also did my very own tour prep for the upcoming Konvoin tour - while the boys rehearse, I bought some boots. It's a girl thing haha
Love you Graz people, life is never boring with you around x

Weeks later I'm finally posting some images from J & B's wedding. Enjoy :)
I tried not to cry but when Brigi and her dad walked down the aisle there were waterfalls!!
these lovely guys provided the beat haha
Andrea our world traveller
 boys club
gorgeous vineyard surrounding the reception area!!
hungry Dave & A wrapping their napkins around them :)
Ulrich and Dave pulling Zoolander faces
the all too familiar slide show
don't ever invite my brother to your wedding, he will write a song and have these boys perform it
those two love Oreo cookies so one of their friends made them an Oreo cake to cut at the wedding :)
There was so much love and joy in the air and heaps of people came out to celebrate with them! It was beautiful.

Burberry Prorsum SS12

Yet another fashion week live stream!
This time from Burberry, a brand that's been on the map for more than 150 years.
Known for their trench coats and the invention of waterproofing fabric in the 19th century, Christopher Bailey transformed the brand into the iconic fashion house it is today, when he took over as creative director/chief creative officer.
beautiful silhouettes and totally loving those hats
 lots of beadings
even the collar's got beads on them
finale
favourite outfit of all... perfect colour, stylish hat and gigantic bag
Thanks Burberry for letting us take a look! Appreciate it x
(images all screen shots except last one, that was stolen from their twitter feed)

last week

was filled with...
friends - so so many, old and new
laughter (there were tears even)
travelling
catching up with people (some of whom I haven't seen since graduation!)
getting up at 2.30am to watch a certain live stream haha
extreme girl time
catching the last rays of summer sun (27 degrees on Sat!)
waffles
and lots more.

My Glorious - Flower

While the album is still on pre-sale here in Europe the boys released their first single hip hip hooray

so incredibly proud of them! Ever since I saw it on Saturday the song has been stuck in my head haha
Spread the word people, so thankful for all support x

Marc Jacobs SS12 live stream

love it when you have the entire collection on the set
 one of my favourites
 curtain closed
lights off :)
There were lots of different textures, cropped jackets, great cut skirts, cute bags, wide headbands and actually lots of colour :) For a spring/summer collection quite a lot of coats, stockings and long sleeves. Really loving that green shirt!
So grateful that they stream it live even if it means getting up at ridiculous hours haha Wouldn't miss it in the world.
(pics are all screen shots, excuse the poor quality haha)

natural fabric dyes

I've been experimenting with natural fabric dyes for about a year now. You can see the beginnings here :)
Last week I did a new batch of fabric
onion skin on Walk(woollen fabric similar to felt) and cotton,
turmeric on cotton and Walk and black tea on cotton
When Lisa came over last week she came bearing gifts :) First of all she gave me a copy of CUT which is an awesome sewing magazine and than she passed on a present from Ruth and Ian. When they handed out gifts at the wedding to their bridal party, it hadn't arrived yet haha
But here it is... ta daaaa
Eco Colour by India Flint who blogs here, please check it out!
So in love with it already, I just grabbed the next best things I had on hand and got started.
I started with Spanish onion skins... such a potent colour as soon as you get them wet it stains your hands, as you can see those two lines in the first photo two of my fingers were coloured and before I knew it I had made marks on the fabric :)
The onion batch is still going as you wrap it up and let it sit for at least a week!
For the second cotton strip I ripped off a few strawberry leaves:
All washed and rinsed after sitting in the sun soaking for a couple days while I was gone.
I'm so excited and immediately started with a new one. Combinations are endless, nature holds all the resources!
