Christmas day

Depending on how long you've been reading this blog, but I talked about having families all over the world. The family I got to spend Christmas day with, have been family friends for almost my entire life. We went on holiday together when I was little and I spent a summer with them when I was 13.
Jamie spent a summer with us to learn German a couple years later and we've been great friends ever since :)
Last time I was in Bath and got to see the whole family was for Jamie and Ali's wedding and I can't believe that that was three years ago!!!
present opening time with the whole family
playing silly games and watching movies :)
Great food - thank you Ryan - and lots of fun made for a great day. Nothing like hanging with family. Love them and am thankful to have them in my crazy little world x

birthday fun. part two aka Christmas Eve

After the second show on Christmas Eve was done, I jumped on the tube and headed to Paddington to catch my train. For the first time ever I was early, so I went to get some food just to hear the announcement that my train was cancelled :) It felt like being in a random Christmas movie where the main character's plane/train/rental car gets cancelled and is left stranded with a mass of others. Yup.
They were very nice about it and changed my ticket to catch the next train.
Off to Bath I went and spent the night having a curry with Jamie, Ali and her parents before heading out to the pub. Apparently everyone flocks home for the holidays and meets up at the pub on Christmas Eve. It's a constant bumping into old friends. Too much fun and for a people watcher like me, amazing haha.
To end the day we went to midnight mass at Bath Abbey. Honestly, there is nothing like being in the house of God, no matter what shape or form. It was sweet seeing one of the ushers so excited to have a full house. The abbey was packed, the choir was singing, the bishop brought a great message, we all took communion or got prayed for and Carla, Ali and I got the giggles trying to hit the right notes during carol singing. Classic and nothing quite like it haha
Loved every bit about that day. Thankful for friends and family in other countries x

Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas!!!
Hope you get to spend it with those you love.
I'm about to go into town for two shows and a train ride to one of the most magical places later. Get to spend Christmas with my Bath family :)
Grace and peace to all of you xxx

Christmas round up

Christmas was short and sweet this year.
Nice to hang with the extended family and catch up with friends.
Found out some very exciting things. 2011 will be the year of festivities it seems :)
Best moment: when my uber-musical family asks me if I want to play a kazoo or a shaker egg!!! Although I dislike those sing a longs, it was fun and in the end I got to play the triangle woop woop!
Don't think we've ever sang that much and after lots of laughs and my brother singing a very loud solo - he did go carolling after all haha - we ended up shouting out Feliz Navidad. Typical family moment and still makes me laugh out loud just thinking about it :)

Hope that you get to celebrate with your favourites and family around you.
Love that we take the time to celebrate our Saviour God every year! His goodness and grace. May we think of Him, while we unwrap our presents and have fun.

Merry Christmas

Thank you Jesus for being born and giving us a day to celebrate your life once more. Couldn't imagine my life without you.

Hope that everyone has an amazing Christmas and you get to celebrate with all your loved ones.
